Dubai Metro Red Line services restored
RTA informed commuters that service has been restored on the Red Line, by a post on X at 6.33am on Tuesday morning.
Dubai: Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced the restoration of metro services on the Red Line after a technical glitch disrupted on Monday evening. The disruption affected the route between Equiti and Max stations during peak hours.
Commuters faced delays due to technical issues and were informed by the RTA. The authority also deployed alternative bus services at the affected stations to help passengers reach their destinations.
Eyewitnesses reported that passengers traveling towards Max station were asked to disembark from trains, while those waiting on platforms were not allowed to board.
The situation caused inconvenience for many commuters. People were left stranded and frustrated.
People who normally travel home in 15-18 minutes found their journey significantly extended due to having to take multiple buses as a result of the disruption.
The report also mentioned crowded stations and heavy traffic as people looked for alternative transportation.
